How Does MOXI Work?
Often referred to as a “prejuvenation” laser treatment, MOXI is gentler than most laser skin resurfacing procedures. It’s a non-ablative fractional laser, meaning it leaves the skin’s surface intact while delivering heat below the skin’s surface through thousands of tiny, deep channels. Thermal energy stimulates the body’s natural healing response, which produces collagen and elastin—proteins that are essential for smooth, firm skin. Moxi has 3 energy settings, allowing us to customize treatments for each person.
Who Is a Good Candidate for MOXI Treatments?
Younger patients, such as women and men in their late 20s or early 30s, can benefit from MOXI treatments. MOXI is designed to prevent the early signs of aging from becoming more noticeable and it’s suitable for all skin types. The ideal candidate is interested in preventing and reducing signs of aging rather than dramatically correcting skin concerns. MOXI is also a good option for anyone looking to maintain their results after a more aggressive laser treatment, such as Halo® laser skin resurfacing.
MOXI can be used on the face, neck, chest, arms, and hands to improve:
-
Sun damage
-
Visible signs of aging
-
Pigmentation
-
Uneven skin tone
-
Texture
-
Mild scarring
MOXI is also effective for minimizing skin discoloration, such as melasma.
