What is Platelet-Rich Plasma?

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy, an advanced technique that can enhance the results of many cosmetic procedures. PRP can be used for skin rejuvenation, skin tightening, hair loss, and more. Owing to its amazing collagen generating benefits, PRP therapy promotes natural healing over time and can lead to noticeable cosmetic improvements.

PRP Injection

We offer platelet rich plasma (PRP) injections for the face, neck, chest, and hands.  These platelets stimulate collagen, elastin, and stem cells to migrate and form new skin. This process takes 1-2 months. The part of your blood called platelets contains hundreds of growth factor proteins which are very important for healing injury, especially to the surface layers of the skin. For a PRP treatment, your aesthetic specialist will draw your blood which is then spun down in a centrifuge to separate the platelet rich plasma from the blood cells. The plasma with platelets is injected into your skin to help volume, texture, tone of the facial skin and decreased appearance of wrinkles.

PRP Topical

Microneedling with PRP can be used for the following:

  • Large pores

  • Loose skin

  • Fine lines and wrinkles

  • Acne scars and stretch marks

  • Crepey or rough skin texture

By creating tiny punctures in the skin with small needles, your body’s own natural healing process kicks in to repair the skin, stimulating the creation of new collagen. When we add PRP into the equation, the healing process gets a boost thanks to the hundreds of human growth factors aiding in recovery. Results last 12-18 months.

PRP helps with healing time for many other aesthetic procedures, ask your aesthetic specialist about our PRP add-on or call our office to add this service to your next facial procedure.
